Painting Shells

Great idea from Ms. Healy for a project that can be done at home with minimal supplies:

Lately I have been painting shells I find on my walks down at the beach and painting them or writing on them with sharpies. If you are able to, try to collect shells and rocks to paint on. They make amazing little surfaces to create pieces of artwork. And they are FREE! I leave mine on my steps with a note for people to take. I have been making signs for hospitals and when nurses come to pick them up they can take a small token of hope with them.
